Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to support my dear friend Calico, who recently experienced a devastating house fire.
As some of you probably recall, these past two months I have been posting a GoFundMe on her behalf as she was left having to restart her life with her 5 children on her own after unfortunate circumstances that, due to her and her children’s safety, the details needed to stay anonymous. Among her five kids, three are on the autism spectrum and require therapy sessions, special education needs, and medical appointments.
With the donations that were made, Calico was able to get back on her feet, find a job, a new home, and give her children the stable environment they so fully deserved.
On 2/26/2025, their home was engulfed in flames, resulting in the loss of everything they owned. Thankfully, everyone is safe, but the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming. She has lost so much of what she has built in the last two months and isn’t sure where to go from here.
Calico is a wonderful person who has always been there for others, offering a helping hand and a warm smile. Now, it's our turn to support her in her time of need. The fire not only destroyed their home but also took away cherished memories, essential belongings, and a sense of security.
This GoFundMe will help Calico rebuild their life. The funds raised will go towards:
- Temporary housing and living expenses
- Replacing essential items like clothing, furniture, and household goods
- Helping with the costs of rebuilding or finding a new home
- Covering any additional expenses related to the fire
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping Calico get back on her feet. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network to spread the word.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this challenging time. Together, we can help Calico and her children rebuild and find hope in the midst of this tragedy.
With heartfelt gratitude,
