Help Caliber's Family Through Medical Crisis
Donation protected
As many know, May 1, 6 year old Caliber Davis was admitted to UK, where he spent a week undergoing multiple rounds of tests, different heart medicines, etc. May 8, he got transferred to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to again; more testing and medication.
His genetic testing was positive for TTN gene, mutations in that specific gene leads to DCM dilated cardiomyopathy or enlarged heart. After adjusting his medicine multiple times to try to improve his heart as well as reduce the fluid on his body, his heart is still only functioning at 25%.
All that being said, after all of their meetings all the doctors have came to an agreement on treatment for Caliber and that will be a Heart Transplant he will be placed on the transplant list as early as tomorrow (May 29), he is currently at status 1B with the potential to be bumped up to status 1A which is the top of the list. He is not any worse he just may qualify for a bump in status for different reasons.
Everyone please continue praying for our sweet Caliber, his parents, siblings and family. This means their stay is going to be much longer than we all imagined. As well as, a condition we never imagined.
Thank you everyone for all your donations, your thoughts, your prayers and reaching out in any way. It’s all appreciated more than you all know.
They are not people to ask for help, ever. They’ve worked for everything they have. But during this time, they want to both be able to spend as much time with Caliber as possible, without the fear of losing everything they have at home. With them traveling back and forth from home to see their other babies, to work for Cameron, and all the other expenses this brings, if you’d like to donate, it would be very appreciated. You can do it through gofundme, or you can send it straight to Cheyanne’s cashapp or Venmo.
