My beautiful daughter Caliana Laila, slipped & dislocated her Patella Dec 2020. At that point whilst in a-lot of pain was able to stand and walk.

In March 2021 a bruise appeared on her right calf, she had, had no further knocks falls.

the bruise moved places each day, our own doctors said it was impossible for a bruise to move. So i photographed and tried again. Was at that point told oh some bruises take months to appear so not to worry, it was from her slip & patella dislocation.

Mid March 2021 the bruise was half way down her right calf, moving regularly to around her right knee, & she cane very poorly over night.

After arriving in a&e she was very quickly admitted to the childrens ward. She was put on four different kinds of antibiotics some by mouth, some iv. We were told she had a bad infection running through her body.

Through March/April 21 it was found that doctors, consultants had missed an infected haematoma under her patella that had been there since he slip . Her mobility was gone & her right leg permanently bent and right foot paralysed,

Over the last four years, we have met some great medical professionals, but all have their own ideas, incorrect diagnosis. Her next specialist appointments aren’t until end 2025.

Appointments to have botox in her leg and meet with an orthopaedic surgeon promised two years ago but never happened, even though we have asked, begged, cried and on occasion shouted.

Caliana Laila is one of the kindest teenagers, I’ve met (bias aside). throughout the last five years she is always positive & putting others first.

I decided to set up a go fund me to get her the answers/ fix she & her leg need.

No person or child should be left for five years with medical promises that either aren’t met or just brushed to the side.

We have had nerve studies done on her leg and all nerves are working as they should, so we just need help to get the leg straight (8* from straight when forced by a physio)

Physio’s have said that the final 8* cannot be achieved without surgical help.

when Caliana was 15 we were told she could be referred to Gt Ormond St, that happened but miscommunication somewhere within the hospitals, they referred her to a holistic pain clinic, not a surgeon or leg specialist. We were then told don't worry,

wait til shes 16, she’ll get more help as an adult from medical specialists. As theres more options available surgical and non, to get her leg straightened as an adult.

But no she’s 18 and we've had nothing but excuses. Or just ignored fobbed off.

I have spoken with two private hospitals, who know her medical story, who have said yes it is 100% possible to get her standing & walking again.

She needs a surgical procedure to straighten the leg and intense physio after to learn to walk again.

Along side the gofundme me a massive £1004 has been donated separately from the kind supporters of Hugos Home Farm Murcia, an amazing animal rescue charity.

Sep 2025, we still have no news on an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon, or the appointment for botox in her leg.

Her physio at the hospital has stopped, as she is now 18. So we are told she now just goes under gp community physio.
