Hi, my name is Cecilia Macmillan, and I've created this fundraiser to help my brother Caleb Humphrey. You may know Caleb from his work fixing small engines in Naples, or maybe when he was a town selectman. Maybe, you know him from his time teaching local hunter's safety courses. He's always been there for those who need his help; today, he is in need of ours. Yesterday, while working in his shop on Lakehouse Road in Naples, a fire engulfed the building and damaged part of his home. The vinyl siding of the house melted in the heat of the fire. This photo is of the aftermath; it was his workshop where he would spend countless hours doing what he loves.

The center wall is now missing. The shelves on the walls and everything that was on them are completely destroyed. He lost a couple of large, old drill presses, lathes and mills. The machine tooling box tipped and scattered amongst the coals, the upholstery tool box burnt, and the antique tin toolbox and tools were forever sealed as the solder joints ran. Anything that wasn't a big chunk of steel was melted, aluminum and brass included.

This building has been his livelihood for the past decade. If you've had small-engine repairs done in the town of Naples, there's a good chance that Caleb was the one who repaired it.

We're trying to help raise $10,000 to help him rebuild his building and replace some of the lost tools. It doesn't look like insurance will cover his loss, so anything helps.
