Help Caleb & His Fight Brain Tumor Fight #2

Donation protected
To our large tribe,

I am reaching out to you regarding my very good friends Josh and Kim Decker’s son Caleb. Caleb is a super smart teen who loves gaming, computers and media. A few years back they found a large tumor on his brain. He underwent brain surgery and has been in remission for a while.

This week he started saying he was having a hard time keeping focus. Josh and Kim took him to the doctor to make sure everything was okay. Sadly, yesterday, they received the news that his brain tumor is back and the same size as the first one. He is to undergo another brain surgery at Mott’s as soon as possible. He is currently in the hospital.

Dad is staying with him. They are a tight family … Caleb needs his mom and dad to be with him. Due to distance, they need to get a hotel room for the week. I would like to raise enough money for the hospital stay and any other supplies they may need. It makes things so much easier when you can concentrate your attention on your loved one rather than worrying about bills and expenses you were not expecting.

Thank you in advance for your help. These people were here for me when I was at my lowest. Please help me make things a little easier for them during this scary time.

Last social post from dad:

How do you start a post like this? Hope, faith, and gratitude....that's what I keep coming back to.

Our oldest had a not-so-great MR yesterday, and it looks like there's a new brain tumor that's developed. It's easy to worry, and I certainly did when this journey first started. And with this stage of the joirney, there are now less options because of what he's already been through.

But what God has continued to put on my heart recently is to wait on him. Specifically:
Psalm 27:14:
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.

I have seen Him work so amazingly in my own life, and through the life of my family over more than 20 years. Now we're going to wait and see what He does this time.

No matter what you're facing today, take courage that God is with you! If you don't know what that means, and if this post is confusing why we have hope when it may not seem like there's much, let's chat! I would love to share with you about an amazing God that loves you more than you could comprehend!

For those who have followed Caleb's journey, thank you for the support! We certainly welcome and so appreciate all prayer for Caleb and our entire family as we work with his team over the coming days!
