Help Caleb Heal

Thank you all for taking time to read my request for help, and for your consideration to donate! It is not lightly that I ask, and I humbly accept any and all support given. It has come to a point where I can no longer provide for my home.

In the middle of June, 2019, I suffered a back injury while moving a couch into my new home. The condition has worsened since then, and I am unable to live daily life and uphold responsibilities due to intolerable pain levels, back spasms, and even loss of motor function and feeling in my legs. This has caused me to miss work frequently for my health condition. The financial duress of not being able to work, the growing medical bills, exacerbated by failed treatments, and resetting deductibles have put our family in a financial bind.

MRIs were taken in mid August. The images revealed two discs effected: herniated (bulged) disc at the L4-L5 vertebra and ruptured L5-S1 disc. I have been primarily working with the people at Keystone Health and Wellness, where I've received combined chiropractic, physical therapy, and joint injection treatments. On top of that, I've been working through the injury in multiple ways on my own. These treatments include acupuncture, physical therapy, supplement regimen, herbal balms, tinctures, TENs unit electrical stimuli, a constant rotation of heat and ice, and anti-seizure/nerve pain medication gabapentin. Even with these ongoing treatments, the pain is still very limiting.

Carolisa and I sought out help from a spine specialist, which proved to be quite a battle. After three months of trying to work with several offices with everything from no returned calls, false appointments, and multiple expensive office visits never being followed up on, finally, we found Dr. Bainbridge's office.

I was admitted for a consultation visit in early December. They scheduled an injection treatment a few days later on 6th. The injection procedure implemented two epidural cortical steroids shots to form fluid pockets on either side of the spine around the effected discs, and after some expected symptoms from the injection itself, I started feeling better for a couple weeks. While getting out of bed one morning later that month, my back popped, and all the previous symptoms came back and are even more severe.

The spine specialists recommended another expensive steroid injection. With the deductible reset after the first of the year, the cost of this is a problem. Each maintenance injection would be equally costly and necessary for years to come. I would rather not take that route, but rather get to the root of the problem.

I'm asking for help as I move forward with stem cell treatments. Stem cells are able to help the body repair the damaged tissue itself as opposed to masking the problem with stimulants and needing recurring treatments. I have done lengthy research, and my case is a strong one for these regenerative medicines to take hold and work well.

The treatment cannot go forward without payment, so I was forced to apply for a $6,000 medical loan. It is of utmost importance for us to do this quickly. I have been put on administrative medical leave from Zillow and am no longer able to earn income for my household. I have the stem cell therapy injection scheduled for February 7th, and will be doing everything in my power to recoup as soon as possible so that I may return to work, but will need your help to bridge the gap.

Any amount you can give is a great help to our little family! Please, help get Caleb back to the energetic, fun loving person we all know and love. We can't do it without your support!
