Hi, I’m Caleb, and I’m raising this fundraiser for myself during a really difficult stretch in my life and need some help getting back on stable ground.

The vehicle I depend on for work developed serious transmission problems after I bought it, and I had no idea there were major issues at the time. I already spent money trying to diagnose and repair it, including paying about $250 for a mechanic to service the transmission fluid, but the situation only got worse. The mechanic found metal shavings in the fluid and believed the transmission was failing, and eventually the car became undrive-able.

I’m still financially responsible for that vehicle, but now I’m without reliable transportation at the exact time I need to keep working and continue searching for better-paying job.

For now, I’m taking the bus to and from work, but it’s been difficult getting by without a dependable vehicle. On top of that, I’m currently staying with a friend temporarily , I don’t have permanent housing, and I’m far from family support.

I’m also dealing with ongoing medical expenses because I had a liver transplant as an infant and need to maintain health insurance and stay on my prescribed medications which are important and can’t be put on hold.

Im trying to raise $800 to help me with:

My biggest priority is to get reliable transportation, so I can continue working and have a better chance of getting back on my feet. if repairing my vehicle isn’t practical, then the funds can instead help me work toward another dependable transportation in the mean time like a bicycle.
