Help Support Caleb in His Fight for Freedom
Donation protected
Dear friends & supporters,
My name is Ashley, and I am Caleb's fiancé. I'm reaching out to ask for your help.
Caleb is in a desperate situation that will effect every aspect of his life going foward.
- Caleb has faced many obstacles in his life, including a long struggle with drug/alcohol addiction. This addiction caused him to make mistakes and relationships with the people he loves most.
- In March of 2019, Caleb found himself in legal trouble for the first time in his life, and facing the possibility of spending the next 10 years in jail. Obviously, this was a serious wake up call.
- . I met Caleb shortly after he was granted bond in late 2019 and our connection was immediate. Despite my initial reservations about dating someone in his situation, there was something undeniably natural about our bond that I just couldn't ignore. I'm so glad that I took a chance with Caleb and looked beyond his circumstances, as he has brought so much joy and happiness into my life. We've been through so much together and have seen each other at our worst and at our best. He truly is my rock.
- It's been a challenging 3 years, but I am so happy to say that Caleb has grown and changed in so many positive ways. He's back in college, attending Los Angeles City College and has a 4.0 GPA! (something he never could have imagined before he got clean).
- He is gainfully emplyed, holding down 2 full-time jobs, working tirelessly to provide for us & our future and also support his education.
- He has succesfully completed rehab at Akua Mind & Body, and activily participates in AA/NA as well as Alumni activities offered by his rehab on a regular basis.
- Today, Caleb is 2 years and 3 months CLEAN, SOBER, & THRIVING!
I am so truly proud of him for everything he has achieved.
Unfortunately, despite all of Caleb's hard work and progress, we've exhausted all of our savings fighting his case, and now have nowhere else to turn. For the last year, Caleb has had a attorney who unfortunately was not equipped with the skills necessary for his case which has left him in an extremely vulnerable place. The thought of losing Caleb, and everything he has worked so hard for is unbearable.
How you can help:
- We're trying to retain an experienced attorney to represent Caleb in the final stages of his case. Without adequate representation, he faces the possibility of spending a significant amount of time in jail. This would be an absolutely devastating outcome for all of us.
- We need an attorney who will fight for him, bring power to his voice, and help him present the positive changes he has made in his life. We need your help and support to make it happen.
Any amount you can contribute will make a difference in covering Caleb's legal fees and help get him the representation that he truly deserves. Your support and belief in Caleb will give him a chance at a better outcome in court and a future he is proud of.
We understand that times are tough for everyone, but if you're able to contribute, we would be forever grateful. And if you're unable to contribute financially, your support and encouragement through this difficult time would mean the world to us.
Thank you, for taking the time to read our story. Your support is truly appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Please share this GoFundMe so we can make this a reality.
