Help Caleb Defeat DIPG: Fueling Dreams With Hope

Donation protected
Introduction:
Caleb Diji, a vibrant 6-year-old, is a bundle of energy and joy. He's unfiltered, silly, and incredibly bold, with a heart as big as his dreams. Caleb is the ultimate Sonic The Hedgehog fan, and he's super fast, just like Sonic himself. His days are filled with laughter, fueled by his love for Spongebob and Roblox. A mama's boy at heart, he's known for his intelligence and his knack for winning at games. Caleb dreams of becoming a game developer, playing soccer and basketball, and catching all the new Sonic movies.

Diagnosis and Impact:
On July 19, 2023, our world turned upside down when Caleb was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). We noticed something was amiss when he started losing his balance, and then came the slurred speech and drooling. The next morning, he had a seizure that led us to rush him to the ER. An MRI revealed the presence of a tumor. Our brave boy has already completed 6 weeks (30 rounds) of radiation, and the tumor board has given us hope by rating his performance at 70-80%, which is a positive sign. In addition to radiation, Caleb also had to undergo a VP Shunt procedure to drain fluid from his brain, a necessary step to manage inflammation caused by the radiation. To help in his fight, we've also adjusted his diet, reducing sugar intake.

Caleb's Story:
Caleb is not your average 6-year-old. He's a whirlwind of energy and a constant source of joy for everyone around him. His love for all things gaming and his dream of becoming a game developer one day keep us inspired. Caleb's passion for soccer, basketball, and Sonic movies reminds us to cherish every moment.

Medical Treatment and Costs:
As we navigate this challenging journey, we're now exploring clinical trials as a beacon of hope. The DIPG Vaccine and ONC201 and ONC206 are potential treatments on our radar, with ONC206 showing promise in targeting the tumor. However, clinical trials come with substantial costs, and that's why we need your support. Your contributions will help cover medical expenses, trials, travel, and the ongoing treatment Caleb needs to keep fighting.

How You Can Help:
Your support means the world to us. Whether it's a small donation or sharing Caleb's story on social media, every gesture makes a difference. Together, we can help Caleb keep chasing his dreams and create a brighter future for him.

Our Gratitude:
We want to express our heartfelt thanks for joining us in this battle. Your generosity and kindness are what keep us going. With your help, we can look forward to Caleb's dreams becoming a reality, one step at a time.

Conclusion:
Caleb's journey is far from over, and we remain hopeful for a brighter tomorrow. We'll keep you updated on his progress and continue to fight DIPG with all our might. Join us in supporting Caleb as he faces this challenge head-on.
