Dear Friends and Family,
I am excited to share that my son, Caleb Hooper, a dedicated sophomore at Georgia Gwinnett College, has been accepted into a prestigious summer study abroad program in Japan! Caleb, a proud HOPE Scholarship recipient and Dean’s List honoree, has worked hard to excel in his studies, and this opportunity is a testament to his commitment to education.
The program, in collaboration with Otemon Gakuin University in Osaka, will run from May 24 to June 24, 2025. It includes three weeks of immersive learning in Osaka, complemented by cultural excursions to Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima, and Tokyo, as well as unique experiences in Miyajima and Kamakura.
The total cost of the program is $3,500, which covers transportation passes, accommodations, and guided tours. However, additional expenses such as airfare (estimated at $2,000), tuition, and food are not included.
To help Caleb make the most of this incredible opportunity, we are aiming to raise $6,000 to cover the program fees and airfare. Any support you can offer—whether through donations or simply sharing this fundraiser—would mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for supporting Caleb as he embarks on this life-changing academic adventure!
With heartfelt gratitude,
Marcia Hooper
