Help Caleb Contreras, beat Craniosynostosis
Donation protected
Hello friends thanks in advance for your help!
Caleb Contreras - Otero is 4 months old. He is the firstborn child of Genesis Otero and Victor Contreras. His parents noticed that Caleb's head was growing misshapen, and his soft spot on the top of the head/fontanell had closed. He had DSi head shape images taken among many other tests done on 9/25/20. This confirmed Genesis' fears of Craniosynostosis/ Genesis is a Medical Assistant.
Craniosynostosis is a birth defect in which the bones in a baby’s skull join together too early. This happens before the baby’s brain is fully formed. As the baby’s brain grows, the skull can grow to be more misshapen.
Around two years of age, a child’s skull bones begin to join together because the sutures become bone. When this occurs, the suture is said to “close.”
In a baby with Craniosynostosis, one or more of the sutures closes too early. This can limit or slow the growth of the baby’s brain.
Caleb is having surgery on December 8th 2020. His neurosurgeon will remove a small strip of bone over the fused suture. Caleb's parents need your financial and emotional help. Genesis has been dealing with Cholecystitis before and after Caleb was born, and had to postpone her surgery due to the recent events in her child.
She has not been able to return to her Job as a Medical Assistant ever since this has begun.
Caleb's dad has been working in a Factory for the past 5 years, and has been able to pay all the bills. The Factory has it's seasonal closing at the end of December.
If you know Caleb you are one lucky person. He is the cutest, bravest little 4 month old. He is a little fighter and he is so lucky to have the love and support of everyone around him.
As you might imagine, this beautiful family has been literally crushed by this diagnosis. Anyone who knows Genesis, or Victor knows they are the last people to ask for help.
During Caleb's fight against Cranyosinostosis, Genesis and Victor are going to incur many expenses related to his treatment, while the mortgage and other bills pile up.
The goal of this GoFundMe is to decrease the financial stress Caleb's parents will endure with medical expenses.
With COVID and everyday life we know finances have been so hard on so many people. Any little bit you can offer is so appreciated. We ask that if you cannot donate if you would please pray for this handsome little man.
please share with your friends and family, help me help them!
