My name is Caleb, and I’m 18 years old and I have dreamed my entire life of pursuing music education. I was accepted into the University of the Pacific, where I’m studying music education and possibly performance as well. This is the opportunity I’ve worked toward for years, and I’m determined to see it through.
But today, I’m facing the real possibility of not being able to afford the education I’ve fought so hard to begin. Covering tuition and expenses has fallen entirely on my shoulders, and even with financial aid, it hasn’t been enough to make school sustainable at all. Still owing roughly 45k a year roughly.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate that my godmother helped me cover August and September, but I need to find a way to cover the rest of this year — and, frankly, the next three and a half years. My fundraising goal is $90,000, which would allow me to stay enrolled and cover this year as well as next year and most likely a few more months after that.
This is my chance to build a future for myself — one where I can grow, learn, and eventually give back through both music and service. Every single donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to staying at UOP and continuing this journey. And if donating isn’t possible, sharing, liking, and commenting on this video would be a tremendous support.
Thank you for believing in me and supporting me as I take these steps toward my dream.
With gratitude,
Caleb
