Help Caleb Compete at the FTC Robotics World Championship!
Donation protected
Hi friends and family,
We’re Andrew and Tessie, parents of Caleb, and we’re reaching out with exciting news—and a humble request for your support. Our son Caleb and his robotics team, Out of the Box Robotics (Team #7244), just won the Pennsylvania State FTC Robotics Championship—and now they’re headed to the FTC World Championship in Houston, Texas, April 15-19th!
This is a huge milestone for Caleb, who’s poured his heart into robotics this season. As parents, we’ve watched him spend countless hours building and rebuilding the robot “Orca”, problem-solving with teammates, and celebrating their state championship win. Now, he has the chance to compete globally—but we need your help to get him there.
Why We’re Asking for Help:
While the team’s registration and robot costs are covered, families are responsible for their own travel expenses. For Caleb to attend, we need to cover:
- Car rental and gas to Houston
- Hotel stay (5 nights)
- Meals and transportation during the trip
As you may know, Caleb lives and breathes STEM—this isn’t just a competition but a chance to connect with mentors, explore careers, and grow his confidence. We want to make sure finances don’t stand in the way of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
How You Can Support Caleb:
- Donate: Any amount helps! $25 covers a day of meals, $100 offsets travel costs, $200 supports lodging.
- Share: Forward this to anyone who knows Caleb’s passion for robotics.
- Encourage Him: Leave a comment with your support—it’ll mean the world to him!
A Note from Us:
We’re so proud of Caleb’s grit and teamwork. Winning states was a dream come true, but Worlds is a whole new level. As parents, we’re doing everything we can to fund this trip, but we’re turning to our village—YOU—to help bridge the gap.
From Caleb:
“I’m excited to participate with my team in competing against hundreds of other teams from around the world and seeing the over 50,000 people who will be attending!”
Deadline: by April 15th, so please contribute or share by then! Thank you.
