This summer, our 10-year-old son Caleb has the opportunity to attend two incredible programs that can truly shape his confidence, independence, and future goals. The first is YMCA Camp Sky‑Y, an outdoor overnight camp in Prescott where kids unplug from technology and build real-life skills through activities like hiking, archery, canoeing, and team challenges. These experiences help kids develop confidence, independence, and strong social skills in a supportive environment.
The second is the National Youth Leadership Forum: Explore STEM, a hands-on program for middle school students where kids explore careers in science, engineering, robotics, and medicine. Caleb was nominated for this STEM program by his school counselor, which is a special honor and opportunity for him to build and program robots, solve forensic challenges, and even participate in medical simulations while staying on a college campus. Caleb has received awards such as Character Student of the Year and Kiwani's Club Student of the Semester, and he has maintained straight As for multiple years. Both programs offer unique opportunities for Caleb to grow, learn, and discover his interests in a meaningful way.
As busy working parents, we are doing everything we can to support him, and Caleb is also working hard to earn his way through small jobs and fundraising efforts. Funds raised through this page will cover tuition for both programs, making it possible for Caleb to attend and benefit from these experiences.
With Caleb graduating elementary school in May and his birthday coming up in August, any support can also be thought of as a graduation or early birthday gift—something that helps create an experience he’ll never forget.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Caleb’s journey. Whether it’s a contribution or simply sharing this, we are incredibly grateful. It means so much to have a community behind him as he works toward something he’s excited about. We want to provide him the best opportunities for his future career.
