My friend, Taurean, owner of Cakes by the Pound, and his wife Amanda have recently faced an overwhelming series of setbacks. After working hard to build and grow their bakery business, they were impacted by the recent flooding in our community. The floodwaters damaged and destroyed valuable bakery equipment, supplies, and business essentials that Taurean relies on every day to serve his customers and provide for his family.

As if recovering from the flood wasn’t enough, they are also navigating the expenses and stress of a recent move. The combination of these unexpected events has placed a significant financial burden on their family and their small business.

Anyone who knows Taurean knows the heart, dedication, and passion he pours into his work. Cakes by the Pound is more than a bakery—it’s a dream built through hard work, long hours, and a commitment to bringing joy to others through his creations.

We are raising funds to help Taurean and Amanda replace damaged bakery equipment, recover lost supplies, and get their business back on its feet as quickly as possible.
