Help Caitlin with Medical Bills

Hi everyone. My name is Emily, and I'm creating this gofundme page for my sister Caitlin. Around four years ago, she started having health issues and was diagnosed with Lupus. Unfortunately, this wasn't the end of her issues because, after countless trips to the hospital, she was eventually diagnosed with Chylous Pericardium, a rare condition where fluid leaks into the space around the heart. This led her to have a five hour long surgery at Vanderbilt. While her trips to the hospital grew less frequent after this, the bills that have accumulated from these procedures and doctor visits have not.

On Monday, she was admitted to Emory Hospital for heart issues, and today she had pericardial window surgery done. She is in recovery, but it will be a long healing journey for her, and I would like to ask for your help. This entire time she has worked full time as a special education teacher while also going to school to get her master's degree, but the pressures of school and work and health issues have grown to be stronger than what one person should have to deal with by themselves.

She started a new teaching job this month, so, unfortunately, her insurance has not kicked in yet. We are unsure how much this recent surgery and hospital trip will cost, but any help would mean the world to my family.
