Early Saturday morning, my beautiful daughter was driving home from work when a family of deer ran in front of her. She swerved, clipped a deer, hydroplaned and hit a tree. Her injuries are extensive enough to warrant emergency surgery to remove her stomach from her chest and part of her colon. She has a collapsed lung, lacerations on her kidneys and spleen, a broken nose, cracked ribs and bruises all over. The good news is she’s alive. Caitlin is a workaholic who needs to recover.
