Help Caitlin Beat Her 2nd Round of Cancer

Hi,

My name is Elena Gonzalez and my intent was and is to launch a GoFundMe for Caitlin an amazing human (who happens to work along side me) and is battling her 2nd round of cancer at age 35. I had shared with Caitlin that I would be starting A Go Fund Me for her because I love her and want to help support her. In the spirit of leading her own healing journey Caitlin jotted down some ideas and shared them with me. After reading them, I decided that she put into words what I could not. To know Caitlin is to love and be in her warmth, please read below:

Hey Friends,

Many of you know that a few years ago I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Cervical Cancer. This was during the peak of Covid lockdown, so treatment went quietly and quickly. I was relieved to be “cancer free” in Feb 2021. Unfortunately, six weeks ago just two weeks after turning 35, I was hospitalized with pneumonia and another tumor was discovered. This time the cancer is in my right lung.

As you can imagine, this was shocking and terrifying to learn when I had felt like I was finally recovering. I am now facing 5 months of intensive chemotherapy treatments. I’m making peace with knowing that this time, I may lose my hair, picturing cute scarves. I’m feeling positive about my treatment plan and am ready to become the warrior I need to be to finally beat this.

I’m reaching out (learning to be vulnerable) to all of you to ask for support during this time. In order to combat this, I am asking for financial assistance for living expenses i.e, rent, food, health insurance payments, immunotherapy, supplements and therapies not covered by insurance, as I will not be able to work my 3 jobs.

Any monetary donation helps me move forward in this journey and will allow me to bridge eastern and western medicine for a graceful recovery. I’ve always been about holistic health, now I will put into action and possibly become a future guide for someone else going through this. Community is healing. This we know. I’m grateful for everyone I’ve been able to meet and work with from my humble days in Indiana, Chicago and L.A.
