This is my kind and sweet friend, Caitlin. After believing she would not be able to have children, she was surprised with a blessing, and is pregnant with a baby boy.

 

In the last few weeks, almost 30 weeks pregnant, she moved across the country back to South Carolina to find better job opportunities. As she settled into her new home, her car broke down. While she looked for a local mechanic and work, her water broke. She went into premature labor at 30 weeks.

 

She was rushed to a hospital and is now safely resting at MUSC. Her and the baby are doing well at this time. However, she is now unable to secure work and any income while on bed rest until her son is delivered, hopefully not for a month or so.

 

I started this gofundme in an effort to help relieve some of the immense amount of financial stress Caitlin will be under to help maintain her home payment, vehicle and other bills, without the ability to work.

 

Caitlin is always giving to others, her career choice helps the children with disabilities in the community and her side gig is caring for the pets in our community. I met Caitlin working together teaching art to adults and children, she is an amazing soul.

 

She is now embarking on a long and difficult journey, and as a single mother, would be grateful of our support.

 

Caitlin has been offered resources from a social worker at the hospital, but it won’t be enough to maintain the home she deserves to be able to bring her son home to.
