Help Caia attend Dillard University

Hello, my name is Caia Olden! I recently graduated from the #1 High School in Kansas, Sumner Academy of Arts and Science. For as long as I could remember,  I have wanted to be an actress and share important stories through films and television. The summer of  my Sophomore year I was blessed to attend summer camp in New Orleans, Louisiana. After my first year of camp I knew that being an actress was the only occupation for me! I then went on to attend that camp for two more years and even ended up receiving the lead role in my last year! What that taught me was that with practice and dedication, I know my dreams will become a reality. That same year I discovered Dillard University and  was engulfed by the culture and the opportunities the university had for me. Ever since then my goal has been to become a Bleu Devil and earn my degree in theatre performance!




In the Fall of 2020 my dream will become a reality. However, coming from a single parent household there is a financial burden for me and my family. Because my mother still has to care for my two other siblings, I have the full responsibility of paying for my education. Although I have received some financial help from FAFSA, and scholarships I still have a balance of around $4,000 for my first year! I’ve been saving from my part-time job but I know this will not be enough to cover the cost. Any amount of donation will help greatly! I know that my journey at my Dillard will bring lots of blessings!
