My name is Jackie Nguyen. I am the owner and CEO of Cafe Cà Phê, Kansas City's first Vietnamese mobile coffeeshop.

Some history:
Right before the pandemic, I was a Broadway Actor. I toured the country with Miss Saigon, and very soon, the pandemic halted all of that. I pivoted, moved to Kansas City, and wanted to diversify my new home.
My shop began as a small table outside of a nail shop.
It evolved to a food truck. We drove it around town, popped up at many events, and began serving our community.
We opened officially Halloween of 2020. Since then, it has been a rollercoaster.
We are in process of creating KCMO's first Vietnamese coffeeshop! One that doesn't travel!

Some history:

We have found the perfect home in Columbus Park, a part of town that is full of culture, immigrants and refugee populations. Columbus Park is quaint, beautiful, but does not currently have a coffeeshop! As a predominant Italian and Vietnamese neighborhood, we felt that this was the perfect fit for our coffeeshop.
Cafe Ca Phe specializes in Vietnamese Coffee and centers ourselves on making sure culture is in the coffee. We are adamant about supporting local businesses, and amplifying the Asian narrative.
Kansas City has a 2% population of Asian people, and even less Asian owned businesses. We want to change that. We want to create a home for Asians, asian refugees, Asian Americans to feel cool, recognized, and at home. We also very much believe in amplifying those who feel marginalized: LGBTQI+ community, Womxn, the Black Community and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. These groups of beautiful yet oftentimes discriminated folx are our family. The Kansas City community is our family.

We are building this entire coffeeshop from the ground up. We are doing an entire buildout, and we need your help! Your donations will help with:
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- A brand new bar
- Seating
- Muralists
- Bathrooms
- A new espresso machine
- An ice machine
- Fridges
