Caesar's Story
Caesar is a one year old cat from a feral colony in Martinez, an area surrounded by open space and wildlife. I first met Caesar last year when I TNR(trap, neuter, return)-ed him and his siblings.
Life for community cats is a dangerous and difficult one. Recently, Caesar was attacked by a coyote, and although he miraculously escaped, his back right leg was severely injured and beyond repair. To save his life, his leg had to be amputated. While Caesar has shown incredible resilience, his new condition makes it impossible for him to return to his colony. With only three legs, he is too vulnerable to survive in the wild.
A Safe Haven for Caesar
As a feral kitty, he is not a good candidate for mainstream adoption. However, there is a place where he can thrive - Fat Kitty City in El Dorado Hills. This outdoor cat sanctuary spans 20 acres and provides a safe, spacious environment for cats to live out their lives with dignity and care. Caesar will be among other cats, including fellow tripod kitties, and he will have the freedom to interact with humans as much or as little as he chooses.
Every cat deserves a chance at a safe and happy life. Please consider contributing toward helping Caesar find sanctuary where he can live without fear, surrounded by nature and other cats for the rest of his life.
