Dear Friends,
My name is Caesar Calucag and I am the oldest son of my father Ernesto Calucag. I’ve been his caregiver now for ten years since moving from Maryland in 2015. I made a promise to care for him as well as my mom because my father knew his health was deteriorating and that they needed me to care for them full time. He was right because in 2019, my dad was diagnosed with dementia.
Since then, I have been caring for him throughout the stages of the disease. It’s been a labor of love, but taking care of your parents to me is the greatest blessing of all.
This past winter Dad had entered stage four of dementia. We made it past the New Years combating the flu but just recently relapse set in and recovery has taken its toll on his frail frame.
I continue to diligently care for him as well as my mother, however the final stage of dementia is deadly when the mind tells the body it no longer wants to eat. My father is fighting a good fight, Im fighting alongside with him until his very last breath.
I’m asking you today if you know me and my dad for some help. The cost of funeral services has gone up and up, and although I was able to set up a burial plan for him I didn’t take into account some additional costs. Therefore,I’m asking for any donation from friends and relatives to offset these costs.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your contribution will mean so much to me and granted I won’t ever forget. I promise. Thank you again and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Caesar M. Calucag
