Caden is my 9-year-old rescue pit terrier mix, and she’s been my constant companion through some of the hardest times in my life. She’s not just a pet—she’s my best friend and my baby. Recently, Caden contracted leptospirosis after being sprayed by a skunk. She’s now suffering from seizures and can barely stand. The veterinarians say she needs to be hospitalized for two days to receive urgent treatment and antibiotics before her condition becomes even more severe. The stress of this emergency has left me unable to sleep or eat, and I’ve been struggling with anxiety and depression as I try to find a way to help her. I’m reaching out in hopes that kind-hearted people will see how special Caden is and help us get her the care she desperately needs.
