Help Caden Cahoy Become World Champion

Caden is 17 years old and has been competing in Olympic Weightlifting since he was 9. He has competed as a Florida Weightlifting Elite team member since he was 13. Since he began competing, he has been one of the top Youth lifters in the United States, and now, in the World. He has been National Champion 4 times, and currently holds a National Record for both Clean and Jerk and Total, in addition to multiple State Records. He made his first USA Weightlifting international team when he was 13 years old and has been on the USA Weightlifting team for the last 4 years.

Competing in the sport of lifting is a true passion for Caden. His father, and coach, has discussed with him where he plans on going with his career in Olympic Weightlifting, and he has decided to continue his training. He is currently in a great position to be in medal contention at both the August 2021 Youth Pan American Championships in Mexico, and September 2021 Youth World Championships in Uzbekistan.

Unfortunately, all the previous multiple opportunities for Caden to compete internationally have had to be turned down due to the timing of the competitions and finances. USA Weightlifting does not fund International Weightlifting events for Youth athletes, so typically all youth international competitions are self-funded, unless the athlete places first at those events and becomes an official world ranked athlete. Winning these competitions could help springboard his dream of a chance to qualify for the Olympics at some point in his career.

The approximate combined total for both competitions is $12,000. This includes all travel, lodging, competition fees, and some meals for both Caden and his Coach. The invoice for team arranged travel to Pan Am competition is due in a few weeks!

So many of us have watched Caden develop over the years. He has always been that quiet kid over in the corner of the gym lifting more than people twice his size. No complaints. No excuses.
