Help 10 Students Get to CIY
Hey! I’m Cade. I’m 15, and last summer I went to an event called CIY (Christ In Youth). It was honestly one of the best weeks of my life. During the week, I got to connect with other students, worship, hear powerful messages, and just really experience God in a real way. At the end of the event, I got something called a Kingdom Worker Card. Mine challenged me to raise money so 10 people could go to CIY this year at no cost to them—and I’ve been thinking about it ever since.
So here I am. After Northridge Church of Christ stepped up and volunteered to pay for half the cost, I’m trying to raise $2,200 to send 10 students to CIY OH2 week this summer. I want them to experience what I did—because honestly, it was life-changing. To help out, I’m also making hand turned custom “Kingdom Worker” pens as thank-you gifts. Any amount you donate helps, but if you donate $150 or more, I’ll send you one! (They’re actually pretty cool.)
This isn’t just about raising money. It’s about giving people a chance to hear from God, maybe for the first time. One verse that stuck with me from CIY is:
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12
That’s what I’m trying to do. Be an example. Make a difference. If you’re able to give, thank you. If not, sharing this and praying for the students who’ll be going means a lot too.
Let’s do something that matters. Together.
