Help Restore His Ability to Walk – A Second Chance After 2.5 Years

Two and a half years ago, a Somali brother’s life changed in an instant.

He was riding his bicycle when a car hit him and drove away, leaving him severely injured on the road. With very limited medical resources available, he underwent surgery in Somalia. Unfortunately, the operation was not successful, and instead of healing, his condition worsened.

Since that day, he has been unable to walk.

For the past 2.5 years, he has been confined to a wheelchair and completely dependent on others for daily life. What makes this even more difficult is not only the physical pain, but the emotional and mental weight of living this way for so long.

Hoping for a chance at proper treatment, he traveled to Yemen to seek help through a charitable foundation. Doctors there examined his condition and confirmed that he urgently needs a corrective surgery. The procedure involves stabilizing his leg with medical plates and screws so that the bone can heal properly.

However, the cost of the surgery and the medical care afterward is far beyond what he can afford.

This fundraiser aims to cover:

• The corrective leg surgery

• Hospital and surgical costs

• Medication and medical supplies

• Post-surgery care and rehabilitation

• Physiotherapy needed to help him walk again

After being in a wheelchair for so long, recovery will not be easy. But with the right surgery and rehabilitation, there is real hope that he may regain his mobility and independence.
