Help Byron the street dog get back to health !

Hi everyone. We rescued Byron a month ago from the streets of Chichén Itzá, Mexico. In Mexico many dogs are unattended or cared for. He was one of many that are left to mend for themselves. Byron situation was particular. He had a family, other brother and sisters dogs but the family thought he was too big now (3 -4 years old) to be fed or cared for. They cared for the other dogs, but not for him. Byron is only 16 kg. When I saw Byron he was helplessly trying to cross a narrow street, in between cars that wouldn’t stop for him. He was disoriented , hungry and deeply exhausted. The only peace he could find was sleeping in a small corner store. He looked like he hadn’t slept in months. We fed him, analyses his situation and current state of health and decided to Take him in with us after speaking with the family. It was a rocky road for him physically, but he is starting to be much happier and has a ton of energy now. He is safe, loved and he can try any food that he wants. He is a love bug and the loveliest doggy. The only obstacle at this time is his health. He has been treated for everything that a street dog would need to be treated for ( worms, parasites, antibiotics for blood infection, many, oh many baths) . But on top of that, he has a small tvt, which is a transmissible tumor ( kind of like a std). This tumor is only cured with chemotherapy and so we have started the treatments. One treatment every week for a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 8 times. I really want to make sure that Byron can make it to the USA or to Canada, and for that he will need to be certified as in good health from the doctor. The worse case scenario would be if at the end of the treatments , if the tumor is not treatable, then he will not be able to be certified and he will have to stay in Mexico. I will then do my ultimate best to find him a family. But I hope it gets better than that.
But to help in this process which is beautiful but also kind of stressful, I would need help to lessen the financial stress.

the funds will be use for the chemotherapy sessions and if possible to cover extra vet expenses . One session of chemo is costing 116$ cad. Byron will need between 4-8 sessions. We will have the 3rd session on January 30. Blood test and ultrasound will follow.
