He did it! Byron is going to the Eastern Challenge to Represent Team Ontario! Let’s help him get to Nova Scotia!
We are so proud to share that Byron, has officially been selected to represent Team Ontario in the Eastern Challenge in Nova Scotia! Out of more than 400 athletes across Ontario, Byron made it through three intense phases of tryouts and development camps in Sudbury, Guelph and Waterloo. He earned a spot as one of the Top 40 U16 football players in the province!
Byron plays Defensive Back, and if you know Byron, you know how much heart he puts into every game. He first fell in love with football 6 years ago with the Joe MacDonald Youth Football League, and he’s never looked back. His coaches, teammates, and family have witnessed his growth on and off the field - and this opportunity means the world to him (and to all of us who’ve watched him grow into the amazing young man he is.
The Eastern Challenge will take place at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia from July 14–20, and this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity does come with some costs. We're asking for your support to help cover:
Travel to and from Nova Scotia, accommodations and possibly some new gear and equipment to help Byron compete at his best.
If you’re able to donate, we’d be so grateful. And if not, even just sharing this page would mean a lot. It really takes a village — and Byron is lucky to have one full of love and support.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping Byron chase his dream.
A note from Byron:
“Thank you for supporting me and helping make this opportunity possible. I can’t wait to hit the field and represent Sudbury and Team O!"
