We lost our mother unexpectedly to the coronavirus on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020. Our beloved mother sadly contracted the coronavirus from an unknown source. She tested positive 7 days before her passing. Jacqueline Pascal (55) is survived by her husband Ronald Pascal and her three kids Jessie Pascal (28), Ron Junior Pascal (27), and Tara Pascal (22).
Jackie was a beloved wife. Our mom was courageous. She was a giving mother and a loyal friend who went beyond the extra mile to take care of those she loved. She always took care of family and friends by leaving gifts or sending any form of support she possibly can whenever someone would be in need. She always put others before herself, even in times of difficulty. She was kind and strong for everyone around her.
Jackie led a difficult life in regards to her health. She faced challenges with renal failure and Dialysis was common, visiting the local clinic 3 days a week for more than 5 years. She would dress up for dialysis and made an effort to live her normal life, in any way she can. Despite her health condition, she would always make comments about her goals of returning to work, driving again, buying a house, and feeling better. She was vigilant and an amazing woman. Just two weeks before her passing, her doctor cheered her on with great news about her health improvements.
Jackie was born and raised in a 3rd world environment. Coming from Haiti, she faced extreme difficulty and poverty. She was a dreamer and always thought big. “I want to raise my kids in America. I want a different life for my future”. Against her parents' wishes and beliefs, she traveled to America during her teenage years on her own and accomplished her dreams and goals. We inherited her spirit within our own lives and goals. We were always taught to dream big, you can achieve anything you want to achieve with God, and God is with you.
We loved her so much. We all put our ambitions aside to make sure she was happy and supported. We loved her so much. She was so magnetic.
As a family, we’ve had close to a thousand people reach out to mourn our mother with us over the last two days.
The coronavirus has changed our lives forever.
We are asking for your help. We understand the tough times COVID-19 has inflicted on all of us and we only ask for your support to help us lay our mother to rest.
Anything helps.
We are not allowed to do a ceremony. There are many regulations and restrictions right now that prevent us from properly mourning our mother.
We are coordinating ceremonial services further in the year and will give her a proper funeral as we deal with this coronavirus situation and its procedures. Anything you can contribute will help.
We will celebrate her life with grace and love. We will love her until the end of time.
Thank you all for your help, support, and kind words.
We cherish every single one of you for helping us during this difficult time.
From the bottom of our hearts,
Pascal Family
