Help buy me a ride

Hi my Name is Paul Carlyle and I am fundraising to raise money to buy a disability vehicle that will assist me to get out and about. I understand it’s around $35k that I need.

I have Motor-neurone disease and can no longer get in and out of a car. My partner currently lifts me in and out of her Hyundai I30 which is too low for me to get in and out of now.

This is all part of my disease symptoms and means I have lost the use of my arms and the strength in my legs as the disease takes hold.

As the disease takes hold of my body I will lose all use of all of my body and bodily functions.

this means I will be solely reliable on others and my wheelchair.

My freedom is slowly slipping away from me as I progress and this vehicle will at least allow me in my last days to get out and about. To see my family, say my farewells, watch my grandchildren play on the beach, go to watch my favourite band play at the pub and do so much more then be stuck at home slowly wasting away.

its so very hard to ask for money from anyone as I have always worked for everything I have ever had in my life but now is the time when I need to reach out to my family and friends and ask for help. NDIS only covers so much and doesn’t fund this.

We will be running special fundraising events to help me reach my target and I would love to see you all there, even if it’s just to come and say gday to me. So please keep your eyes open for these!
