♥ THERAPY PONIES ♥ Help buy HAY for the THERAPY PONIES :)

HAY, HAY, we need more HAY !!!

Hi! I would like to introduce you to a foundation like no other!

Animal Therapy Ireland, is a charity that provides pet therapy service to a range of individuals in nursing homes, schools, day care centers, hospitals and hospices. Many volunteers visit those places with their beloved and well-trained dogs, cats and even guinea pigs, to bring joy and happiness to people going through a difficult time or who just need some cheering up. Nothing lights up the day like the unconditional love that comes from therapy animals.

But Animal Therapy Ireland is not only about small pets... The charity also owns, 6 amazing THERAPY PONIES!

Today I would like to ask you to help Bella, Blue, Mowgli, Flash, Donna and Gypsy to survive the winter!

Unlike therapy dogs, who can work all year long, with ponies there is some limitation. Especially in the winter season. It is not easy to travel with ponies on icy roads, and even harder to ensure them an attractive grass spot on the family picnics. They can't fundraise for themselves and for safety reasons they need to stay in the paddock. This is the time when they need a special care and attention from us, volunteers, and rely on the generosity of the donors.

My daughter, Emily (11 years old) and I, try to visit them as often as we can. We want to make the winter paddock, a better place for them so they won't miss summer events!

The foundation does their best to cover the general cost of keeping these wonderful ponies, like vet care, medical treatments, dentist, farrier, insurance and a rent for land. But during the winter, they have an extra expense ... HAY!

· We need lots of hay! HAY, HAY and even more HAY!

The cost of one bale of hay is approximately 50 euros. Because we have 6 of them, one bale will last no more than a week! Yes, our ponies love hay! Since there is no grass during the winter time, without hay, it would be hard for them to survive... and winter is long!

In favour of Animal Therapy Ireland I am asking for donations, to help Bella, Donna, Blue, Mowgli, Gypsy and Flash to survive the winter!

Let’s buy some HAY for them!

Although the primary reason for the funds is to buy hay for the ponies, there are additional needs we can put any surplus to.

· If we are able to secure enough to provide the hay for the season, any surplus will be put into getting a sturdy hay feeder as well! This will ensure they have access to hay 24/7 without fear of it running out (they love hay so much).

· During the winter time, it gets dark so fast, which can be difficult for most of the volunteers as we have day jobs and so are unable to visit the ponies as often. So, we would love to buy a camera for the paddock! That would help us keep an eye on the ponies during the day. The Ponies are so cheerful when we are there, I wonder what they feel like when they are alone. It is also Animal Therapy's dream to live stream from the paddock, so everyone can watch these amazing therapy ponies and provide a form of online therapy.

But of course, the most important thing is to provide food during the cold times.

I'm raising money to benefit Animal Therapy Ireland CLG, and any donation will help make an impact on our amazing ponies. And they will give it back for sure in the summer season by giving hope to patients in nursing homes and joy to kids in schools.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me!!!

THANK YOU !!!

Marzena
