Hi! My name is Nikki (Kitta Ragnvaldsdottir from the Outlands in the SCA).

*TLDR: please help me replace my broken harp so I can play/sing in the SCA and put some vids on YouTube!*

One of the joys of my life is playing my harp and singing for others. This past year, my beautiful bray harp, Harpitron 9000, unfortunately broke. I took him to a harp repairman, who tried valiantly to fix him, but was unable to. Apparently Harpitron was not made by a reputable maker and had a flaw on the harmonic curve (the repairman has seen several of these harps broken at the same spot).

After a lot of deliberation/shopping/consulting with professionals, I feel that it is the best plan is to spend more on a well-made harp that will last years so I can continue to make music for the people of the SCA.

If I reach my funding goal, I will be replacing Harpitron with a Dusty Strings 34 string Ravenna harp that has a gorgeous timbre and resonance, and suits my voice well. I will also start recording my music and put it on YouTube for everyone to enjoy :)
