Help Butters walk again after IVDD surgery

Butters was recently diagnosed with IVDD on 5/20/2025. Tuesday morning, I noticed he was a little wobbly with his footing after daycare, so I brought him home to rest. Within a few hours, he was unable to stand, and he was rushed to the nearest urgent care, where they directed me to the nearest pet hospital 3 hours away. He was diagnosed with IVDD along with pneumonia and was sent in for spinal surgery that night. Due to his upper airway swelling, they were unable to extubate him and had to place a tracheostomy tube to help the swelling go down.

The cost for his hospitalization so far is over $10,000 and could go higher. He will also need rehab, which can range between $1,000-$3,000.

Anyone who knows Butters knows he is the most loving boy. He always knows how to make everyone around him feel better. At only 3 years old, he has so much life ahead of him.
