Our family is asking for help for my brother Butter DeFries and family on Kauai after Hurricane Lowell caused devastating damage to their home and property. The storm tore the roof from their home and left them facing major loss and uncertainty. In the aftermath, Butter and Chelsie have both been unable to work as they try to protect what remains of their home and belongings. They have also had to stay close to the property out of concern for looters, all while trying to figure out how to begin rebuilding their lives. This has placed a tremendous emotional and financial burden on their family during an already heartbreaking time.

If you know my brother Butter, you know how he would show up for others in a moment of need. Now the DeFries Ohana is asking for that same love and support to surround Butter, Chelsie, and their family. Funds raised will go directly toward living expenses while they get back on their feet and begin the long process of recovery and rebuilding.
