In Loving Memory of Charles “Butch” Bush
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Charles “Butch” Bush—a man whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A proud Navy veteran, Butch voluntarily served two tours in Vietnam, showing remarkable courage and devotion to his country. But his service to others didn’t end there—it continued every single day of his life through his compassion, humility, and selflessness.
Butch was the kind of man who would give a stranger the shirt off his back if it meant helping someone in need. He quietly donated to more than 30 different charities throughout his life, never seeking recognition—just wanting to make the world a little better. His heart for others was unmatched, and his legacy of kindness will live on through every life he touched.
On Sunday, after courageously battling heart failure and enduring his fifth heart attack, Butch peacefully passed away. He was a devoted father, a cherished grandfather, and a loyal friend whose laughter, wisdom, and gentle spirit brought warmth and comfort wherever he went.
As we prepare to honor his life and lay him to rest, we are asking for your support to help cover funeral and end-of-life expenses. We only need $2,700 to meet our remaining needs, and any contribution—no matter the size—will help ease the burden during this difficult time and allow us to celebrate Butch’s life in the way he truly deserves.
Thank you for standing with our family, for honoring Butch’s memory, and for showing the same kindness he so freely gave to others throughout his life.
Funeral services will be at Forbes Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons Kansas October 14th 2025, Visitation at 10am services at 11, following to the grave site in McCune for military honors.
