Help Buster's Final Wish Come True
Donation protected
Hello, my friend Audrey and I are raising funds to get Buster, a senior dog, into a senior rescue.
Earlier this year, Buster’s owner, who is elderly, broke her wrist and had to move to Arizona to live with her sister. Sadly the apartment building she now lives in does not allow pets and she had to relinquish Buster. He was going to be put down or brought to the shelter, so her grandson took him. Unfortunately he is not able to keep Buster, so he brought him to a drug and alcohol treatment facility in Pasadena that he works at, where he could stay temporarily. He has been there now for several months. My friend works at the treatment facility and knows I do a lot of animal rescue work, so he reached out to me for help.
Audrey and I met through a Nextdoor post that I posted about Buster. She and I bonded over Buster and have now been very involved in finding him a forever home or rescue. We have networked him on social media, and had no luck. We also reached out to all the senior rescues and sanctuaries in California and they are all full and can’t take him. Then Audrey reached out to Frosted Faces Foundation. They are an awesome rescue located near San Diego. They only rescue senior dogs, mainly from shelters in Southern California. They are not able to take him into the rescue, however they have something called The Final Wish Program which takes senior dogs from situations where an owner has died or gone into nursing, etc. They ask for a $2000 donation because they take care of the medical costs for the rest of the dog’s life. So Audrey and I decided to start this GoFundMe fundraiser to raise the $2000. I added an extra $100 to cover the fees that GoFundMe takes out.
If you could donate to this fundraiser, Audrey and I would be deeply appreciative. We just want Buster to live out his golden years in the best possible situation. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. ❤️
