Help Bushra Heal- oral cancer surgery

Friends, family, colleagues: We need your help.

Our dear Bushra Isam Taha was diagnosed with an orofacial cancer in May 2024 and requires an extensive maxilofacial surgery and reconstruction, and subsequent radiation/chemotherapy treatment. Current cost is estimated at $200,000 USD.

As you are aware, a terrible war broke out in his home country of Sudan, and Bushra had to flee as a refugee to seek medical assistance, leaving his wife and four children aged 16,13, 8 and 7 behind. Additionally, delays in diagnosis and timely intervention led to his hospitalization at a hospital in AbuDhabi UAE for a medical complication. He currently awaits funding for the proposed surgery.

His condition has progressed and is life threatening according to his specialist. We have created this page to seek your help in reaching funding goals for his treatment, rehabilitation and recovery process.

As his name meaning belies, Bushra remains optimistic that good tidings will come by the grace of Allah, and his spirit is strong.

For those who do not know him personally, Bushra is an amazing individual who has overcome multiple adversities and losses in his life. Through his humility and kindness he has always extended his hand to those who need him and prioritized their concerns over his selflessly. His light hearted humor has brushed away many a dark cloud and brightened people's day. A positive and generously spirited man, many feel honored to have had Bushra stand by them through thick and thin.
