Help Bury Our Holocaust Survivor Savtah in Israel
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart and the fondest of deep rich memories that we ask for your support in getting our holy grandmother, Nechama Boordo, back to Israel where she can be put to rest beside her husband, our beloved Grandfather.
Savtah Nechama Boordo lived a rich life. She was born in January of 1931 in Romania, she survived the horrific Holocaust, went on to get married, and bring a son into this world in the former USSR before immigrating to Israel in the early 1970s. She went on to raise two granddaughters who cherished her more than words. She was not only a doting grandma but a confidante, a best friend, a mentor.
She lived a full life. She studied Torah, with a deep love for Kabbalah, she prayed daily for the health and well-being of her family, and she went in peace over Shabbat in Philadelphia.
We (her granddaughters) now need your help to get her home, at long last. She missed Israel every day, and it was her wish to be buried there. There's no world in which we'll allow a lack of funds to result in her being cremated, or buried in any other way but the holiest. Please consider helping lay this incredible soul, rich spirit, and holy woman to rest in the holy land.
