Saturday evening our family and dear friend were heading home and were struck by another vehicle. Their truck immediately went up in flames and they escaped with the help of bystanders.

This is the current state of the victims of the accident.
Frederic and Theresa are in critical condition and have already had their first of many surgeries.
Frederic has burns on 33% of his body, spinal fractures, and has been intubated since he arrived at the hospital.
Theresa has burns on 40% of her body, is intubated, and is in an induced coma. Her son has flown there to be with her and is staying nearby.
Gayla's burns are less extensive at around 16% of her body, but are still severe. She is expected to have surgery tomorrow, the 19th. She has a smoke inhalation injury and is intubated, but responsive.
Karen is also intubated and responsive. She is in stable condition. She is expected to go into surgery on Wednesday, the 20th.
Gabrielle has a shattered heel bone that will require surgery, fractured ribs, and a 2nd degree burn on her right arm from wrist to shoulder. She is awake and responsive.
