Ashley was involved in what can only be described as a freak accident that resulted in 45% of her body covered in second through fourth degree burns. This happened while attending a friends bonfire, with her four children on Saturday, October 10th, 2020. Ashley was airlifted to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids where she has already undergone two skin graphing surgeries and one blood transfusion. Her doctors have told her she will most likely have at least two more surgeries.
Ashley will remain at Spectrum Hospital until she is healed enough to return to Traverse City and will be cared for by her sister who is already caring for her four children. This go fund me will help assist Ashley with the massive medical bills unrelentingly accruing while down at Spectrum Hospital and the extensive ongoing medical procedures once she returns home.
It will also assist in aiding in sheltering, counseling and over all general care of her four children, Cavan 14, Rowan 13, Declan 7 and Aubrey 6.
