My name is May, and my family and I were lucky enough to come to America even though an ongoing civil war in our country creates famine and brings so much misfortune among the people.

My grandparents, who are very involved with the welfare of the people, work very hard to send money back to our country just so some people don’t starve to death. You don’t have to donate, but please share with those you know! Our goal is to raise enough money to be able to help those affected by the ongoing civil war. My grandmother will be going back to our country in April to personally help those in need.

Burma has the longest ongoing civil war to date in history, we aren’t talked about enough! If you’re curious, then don’t hesitate to look up the history of Burma and how far back this war goes.
