Help Bunny Fight FIP: Support Her Recovery

UPDATES BELOW Hi, we are Alex and Bunny. Bunny has suspected FIP and is struggling to eat. We have started GS-441524 which is a new, amazing drug with huge potential to cure this once mostly fatal disease. It’s a 12 week course, we are about 4 days in as of June 8 but she has dropped from 7.5lbs to 6.5 and is struggling to eat and stay hydrated. Our first vet visit was $1300 dollars, then we had two follow ups in the same week, but she still needs extra support. Our vet is strongly urging us to get a feeding tube placed for her which is going to cost an additional $2-3k. She needs to get more calories in her so we can avoid fatty liver disease and a litany of other issues. She is only 5 years old and the sweetest little diva you’ll ever know. We want to help give her the best fighting chance to kick FIP in the pants. We would deeply appreciate your support, anything helps, even a dollar!

UPDATE: Bunny has an esophageal feeding tube that she will have for about two weeks assuming she starts eating on her own by then. She is going to need more rechecks, 2 more refills of GS-441524 (which will cost around $500 total) and long term support. Please consider helping her out!

UPDATE 6/12: Bunny’s e-tube incision site is infected and she’s fighting a high fever again. She’s down a pound of weight which is not a good sign. Her tiny immune system is in overdrive and we are now in what I can only hope is the worst of this. She is fighting extremely hard and seeing her this sick and exhausted is breaking our hearts.
