I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but we’re asking for help for our beautiful little Bunny.

Bunny is a 6 year old chihuahua who weighs barely 1.5kg. She has the biggest, most loving personality you could imagine. She’s our little girl who is full of affection, and so incredibly tough despite her tiny size. Over the past couple of days, Bunny suddenly became very unwell. She stopped eating, began vomiting, and couldn’t settle. We rushed her to the vet, and she is now in hospital where tests have shown intestinal inflammation and dilation, along with dehydration, low blood sugar, and electrolyte imbalances.

She is currently being closely monitored by the veterinary team, on IV fluids and supportive care while they work to stabilise her and determine exactly what’s going on. The good news is that she is comfortable and being well cared for, but she’s still fighting and not out of the woods yet. We have already covered significant emergency costs to get Bunny the urgent care she needs, and we will continue to do everything we can for her. However, the ongoing hospital treatment and monitoring are quickly adding up.
