Hello,
My name is Anneke and I’m the proud host of guesthouse Casa Ciao Bella — a community for solo female travelers — in Le Marche, Italy.
Help to make my dream come true
After falling in love with Italy as a child visiting from my home country The Netherlands, as an adult, I had a dream: to create this unique guesthouse: Casa Ciao Bella, a countryside retreat for women travelers. I began to make this dream a reality when I found a villa in Le Marche where I'd create this home-away-from home.
I loaded up my car and left The Netherlands in May 2019, ready to work hard and prepare the villa for the 2020 holiday travel season. During the past few months, I’ve dedicated my life to manifesting this idyllic vision surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, creating a space where you can share a meal with friends, relax by the pool, sip an Aperol Spritz, or in just 15 minutes, gaze at the sea.
While I was painting rooms, tending the vast garden, and chopping wood to get the house ready for my first guests, my plans were derailed by Covid-19. As all travel to and within Italy, and across the globe screeched to a halt, so too, did my dream.
The reality is this: almost all of my bookings are cancelled and I have no new ones coming in. As the global pandemic continues, I am running out of funds to keep the villa going. I am asking for your help to keep this project alive, and support my dream to build a community for women travelers.
All donations are welcome, big or small. I’ll post updates about the villa’s progress on my Facebook page to let you know where the money is going and how we are doing. The first 30 people who donate to Casa Ciao Bella who live in the EU will enjoy a gift of a fresh bottle of olive oil from the trees on the villa’s grounds, come October.
