Hi! We’re Moe and Barbara, and we’re starting a project born from our love for the sea, our passion for sustainability, and the lessons we’ve learned from what we’ve witnessed in recent years.
We want to change how people fish and experience the ocean in Zanzibar — through eco-friendly fishing, education, and community involvement. Our goal is not only to offer responsible fishing tours and water activities, but also to teach locals and visitors about marine conservation, ethical fishing, and respect for the ocean by creating a movement that we hope will be supported by the government and local hotels.
Zanzibar’s waters are at risk due to overfishing, unregulated practices, coral damage, and pollution — from boating and jetskiing to dolphin chasing and starfish poaching. With your help, we can start workshops, eco-charters, and awareness programs to protect marine life and create opportunities for local fishermen.
The funds will first help us establish the company and purchase a sustainable fishing and eco-tour boat. This will allow us to create jobs — from crew to captain — and, over time, train local “marine stewards” who help maintain order, cleanliness, and ocean sustainability.
With tourism and fish demand rising, we want to ensure that growth also means education, opportunity, and responsibility — working with hotels, fishermen, and visitors to build a cleaner, more ethical future for Zanzibar’s ocean.
We are planning to luanch a social media platform to document our journey and share our mission
Every contribution helps bring this vision to life — one cast, one lesson, one ocean at a time.
