Help Build the World Museum of Birds

Hi, my name is Daniel McQuestion and I am raising funds for what I believe is the greatest bird museum ever created.

I began studying ornithology at age 12 and at 17 years old I invented my own technique/medium for sculpting birds. Over the last 25 years, I have used this technique to sculpt 418 species, from seven continents....all life size. I have sold my sculptures to collectors around the world and even sold two falcon sculptures to a Saudi Prince!

My goal since 2004 has been to open the World Museum of Birds, (credit for this idea has to go to my daughter :). Because of the recession of 08, and global circumstances in 2019, that plan was postponed but I refused to give up. I am currently seeking funding for land and building in SE Arizona which is a world destination for bird watchers. However I am open to other locations. I have saved enough money over the last ten years to devote more time to this project and pay for some promotion. However, I can use all the help I can get and that is why I have joined GoFundMe.

The plan is for a eight to ten thousand square foot, handicapped access building containing eight, habitat dioramas, each with 40 foot murals (I have already completed over 70 feet of mural) and descriptions and range maps for each species. The dioramas will be the following:

Arctic (tundra, steppes and taiga)

Grasslands/Savanna

Tropical Forest

Temperate Forest

Desert/Dry-lands

Wetlands (Freshwater Marsh, Lakes, Riparian, Rivers)

Pelagic, (Seabirds)

Feathered Dinosaurs. (I have done 12 of these up to 16 foot long.)

It will also include some walking trails (hopefully they will wind around 5 to 10 acres with lots of bird feeders) and a gift shop that has bird related items and art. Also have plans to build a Swallow nesting cliff and a hawk nest tower that has video capabilities. A large pond is also on the wish list.

If every bird watcher/enthusiast, in just the USA, donated only .50 cents, I would have more than enough to build this one of a kind museum.
