Help Build the Ridgetop Shawnee Museum
Donation protected
The Ridgetop Shawnee Tribe of Indians was created in 1998 to celebrate the Native American heritage of the multicultural settlers who migrated to Southeastern Kentucky, Southwestern Virginia and Northeastern Tennessee (Central Appalachia) from 1780 to around 1870. The State House of the Kentucky General Assembly recognized the Ridgetop Shawnee Tribe of Indians in 2009 and reaffirmed in 2010 via two House Joint resolutions. (not formal state recognition). we have worked tirelessly over the last 25 years to celebrate the truth of our multiracial heritage. in 2025 the Tribe began the process of creating a native American artifact and history museum in the Corbin, Kentucky area.
This page will serve as the main fundraising portal for this effort. Donation and contributions are NOT tax deductible at this time. We are currently looking for a tax exempt 501(c)3 organization to lead the fund raising effort.
