Milestones Daycare has been a cornerstone for families in Northern Minnesota for over six years, providing a safe and nurturing environment for more than 100 children. As the owner and director, Amanda has led the center through challenges like COVID, flooding, and even relocating, always putting the needs of the children first. Now, the center is ready to take an exciting new step: building an indoor playground to ensure every child has a place to play, no matter the weather.

This past winter was especially harsh, with long stretches where the children couldn’t go outside at all. With only one gym shared by four classrooms, playtime was limited and kids missed out on the climbing, running, and imaginative adventures that are so important for their development. An indoor playground would change everything—giving children of all ages a space to climb, swing, slide, and socialize year-round. It would also give staff a wonderful resource to keep kids active and engaged, even on the coldest days.

But the vision doesn’t stop there. After hours, evenings, and weekends, the new playground—'The Play Den'—will be open to the entire community, offering memberships so all local families can benefit. This project is about more than just play; it’s an investment in the health, happiness, and creativity of every child in the area. Please consider supporting Milestones Daycare and helping us bring this incredible resource to life for our kids and our community.
