Help Build the Planetary Farms Store

The vision for Planetary Farms truly took root when Dave moved to Hillsboro, VA. Starting with a modest 20x20 vegetable garden, his passion for permaculture exploded. He planted his first food forest, then another, eventually transforming standard lawns into lush, edible landscapes. Today, Planetary Farms has expanded to include the neighboring property, totaling 10 acres of biodiversity. Dave has pushed the boundaries of what is possible in the Virginia climate by constructing geothermal greenhouses, allowing for the cultivation of rare tropical fruits and a wide variety of nut trees.

Now, with the farm entering high production of fruits and vegetables, as well as value-added items like jams, jellies, medicinal tinctures, and an edible plant nursery, Dave is ready to take the next step. Building a store will allow customers to easily access all of Planetary Farms’ offerings and support the continued growth of this unique, sustainable farm. The store will be an Amish shed, thoughtfully designed and equipped with refrigerators, shelves, a sales counter, electricity, concrete flooring, a walk-in cooler, a sign, and the labor needed to bring it all together.

Dave is grateful for any support from the community and beyond. Every contribution helps bring this vision to life, making it possible to share the bounty of Planetary Farms with more people and inspire others to embrace sustainable agriculture. Thank you for helping make this dream a reality!
